Our team is made up of people who specialized in Design, Architecture, Museography, Scenography, Philosophy, Marketing and Advertising.
We come from a multitude of personal and professional backgrounds, which is vital for our working method. We like to see ourselves as a cool team that brings out the best of everyone’s personality.

Joana Brígido
Joana has a background in Interior Design and her first exhibition was for La Triennale di Milano in 2009. Since then, she has never stopped working in team management and interior/product design both in Portugal and Italy. In 2011 she co-founded Toyno. Joana loves to surf and to go on long walks with her dog Boris!

Rui Quinta
Rui studied Communication Design and in 2011 co-founded Toyno. Since then, he has been helping to design our vision and future. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg because Rui is a true explorer! He loves the unknown and nothing scares him, from quantum physics books to bird species identification.
And that’s not all: Rui is an unconditional fan of dinosaurs.

Aldo Tornaghi
Aldo has a degree in Industrial Design and specialized in Interior Design and Museography. He has already worked in Antwerp, Milan and Maputo. Later he settled in Lisbon, where he started working in Toyno. Here, it’s not unusual to see Aldo writing with one hand, drawing with the other and putting up post-its on the wall with his feet!
Is it possible for a colourblind to become a designer? Aldo says a big YES to that!

Ana Novais
Ana has a degree in Design and specialized in Product and Services Design. In Toyno, she oversees our projects from beginning to end (and always with a contagious energy!)
She designs environments and equipment that enable every space to become what we want it to be.
She loves to talk, to devise plans and to research. There isn’t a day we don’t hear her talk enthusiastically about her current project and how to make utopic ideas tangible.
If she could repeat one of her life’s adventures, it would undoubtfully be a motorbike trip across Vietnam.

Andreia Baltazar
Andreia studied Marketing & Advertising with a Communication & Image specialization. She was in charge of several projects in many different fields: exhibitions and learning spaces for museums and science centres, fit-out projects and change management, rethinking the way teams work.
In Toyno, she’s all over the place, always just a click away. Andreia is super organized and that’s why she loves to plan and manage people.
What lifts her spirits? A long, daily walk very early in the morning!

Cecília Silva
Cila is our paperwork person. She is always close to the team, dealing with invoices, contracts and important documents.
How do we know Cila is around? When we hear a good and loud laughter!

Cristiana Pascoal
Cristiana studied Interior Design with an Art & Design for Public Spaces specialization. She developed projects both as a freelancer and in interior design studios and works for Toyno remotely, from her home in Porto. She especially enjoys developing projects that prioritize space psychology and experiences optimization.
Cristiana does collage work, loves to listen to music and all things minimalist.

Diogo Brito
Diogo has an Architecture degree and collaborates with us when we need some help in project execution.
When he’s travelling, Diogo always has some bizarre and funny stories to share and is quickly infected by people’s good mood. That’s one of the reasons we love to work with him!
He loves camping and recommends the books from “O Bairro” series, by Gonçalo M. Tavares.

Inês Theriaga
Inês has a Product Design degree and specialized in Research & Strategy.
As a little girl, she dreamt of becoming a hairdresser. That didn’t happen but she still loves to care for those around her. She likes to put herself in other people’s shoes to understand how they feel and see the world. That’s why her work as a designer in Toyno is so important.
Her favourite pastime? To teach wrong Portuguese words to Maria Cartay!

Maria Cartay
Maria has an Architecture degree and worked in Venezuela and Argentina. She specialized in Product and Space Design in Lisbon and Service Design in Finland. She worked in interior design until she came to Toyno!
Here, she proposes and makes tangible space-oriented, empathic experiences.
Maria is a ceramist and loves to create playlists in Spotify. She even created a ‘Toyno soundtrack’ that reveals our character and spirit. You can listen to it here.

Nuno Marcos
Nuno studied architecture and is one of the creative minds behind Toyno’s projects. When he’s not designing new spaces and experiences, he’s scratching his head and wondering how he’s going to make it all happen!
Fortunately, Nuno has a fail-proof secret: if he needs inspiration, all he has to do is take a quick trip to the beach and he comes back ready to overcome any creative block!

Roberta Mansur
Roberta has a degree in Architecture and specialized in Scenography, Historical Buildings’ Restoration, Design and Advertising. She was born in Brazil and has lived in Italy and Australia. Roberta is deeply interested in people-oriented creative processes and feels that, in Toyno, she could finally put theory into practise. She feels her work objectively changes people’s lives through interactions with physical spaces.
Roberta loves to watch airplanes and has a movie recommendation for you: Life is Beautiful.

Ecsite
Ecsite connects, inspires and empowers science engagement organisations and professionals.
