This project involved the design and implementation of Auchan’s new headquarters in Paço de Arcos, a 7,500 m² space, including the office fit-out and change management for 476 employees.
The project focused on creating a complete and functional workplace with fixed and flexible areas, formal and informal meeting rooms, training spaces, a cafeteria and break areas, indoor and outdoor auditoriums, reception, courtyards and rooftop, health and wellbeing areas, technical zones, and parking. In parallel, a communication and transition plan was developed to support the move and accompany the entire change process.
The work began with one month of immersive research involving all headquarters employees, combining observation of working methods, interviews, focus groups, co-creation workshops, and physical and digital surveys. This process made it possible to understand the needs, expectations, and concerns of Auchan employees, supporting the project’s decisions.
The project was guided by clear principles: creating a flexible work environment that promotes wellbeing and is supported by conscious change management. The transformation ensured coherence between the space, ways of working, and the people who use it every day. A transformação foi desenvolvida garantindo coerência entre o espaço, as formas de trabalhar e as pessoas que o utilizam diariamente.
