The Part That Remains is the concept behind the permanent exhibition of the Pedra do Sal Environmental Interpretation Center, developed by TOYNO as an experience for both children and adults. The exhibition builds on this idea to reveal the geological, biological, and historical richness of Pedra do Sal, proposing a layered reading of time where nothing happens in isolation.

Exploring the coastline with biologists, historians, and other specialists made it possible to identify themes, phenomena, and narratives that help explain how this landscape was formed and inhabited. From the formation of the Earth to marine life, from human presence to territorial transformations, the exhibition is organized into thematic sections that show how traces of the past continue to shape the present. The experience extends into a modular learning center designed for group experimentation and discovery. A space that deepens the exhibition’s content and reinforces the connection between knowledge, territory, and responsibility, reminding us that the future also depends on the part each of us leaves behind.
