Money is a familiar stranger.
The project began with a simple question: what is money? Although present in everyday life, its functioning and role in society are not always clear.
At the Money Museum, TOYNO developed an interactive exhibition dedicated to economic and financial education, designed for young audiences and conceived as the final moment of the permanent exhibition visit. The exhibition explains, in an accessible way, the role of money and the Bank of Portugal in the functioning of the economy.
Based on research carried out with specialists and users of different ages, a narrative was built to bring complex economic concepts closer to young audiences, starting from a familiar yet abstract theme.
Organized as a journey of discovery, the exhibition invites visitors to explore, through interaction, topics such as physical and digital money, price stability, payment systems, and the global economy, making essential concepts for life in society easier to understand.
