We developed the proposal for the University of Lisbon’s Co-Creative Center, based on the Design Factories network, which follows the model advocated by Aalto University. The aim was to transform a currently unused space at the University of Lisbon into a dynamic environment for co-creation, collaboration, innovation and entrepreneurship, integrated into the university ecosystem.

To contextualize the project in Lisbon’s innovation ecosystem, we carried out exploratory interviews and analyses, seeking to understand the needs of the academic community. As a fundamental part of the process, we organized a co-creation workshop, bringing together around 80 participants, including management, professors, staff and students from different courses. This meeting allowed us to jointly define a model adjusted to the reality of the University of Lisbon, ensuring that the future Co-Creative Center responds to the needs of its community.
